Soakaway and Drainage
We were contracted by Group Bridge on behalf of Balfour Beatty to prepare site and install soakaway and drainage systems for the extension of the military runway.
C&D were responsible for the bulk excavation of the soakaway pit and the drainage trenches.
On completion of the excavations C&D then installed the drainage pipework and the soakaway.
Once all drainage systems were installed, C&D then levelled the workarea and left it in a condition for landscaping.
This project had many complications, such as working next to an active military runway and a seemingly endless rain shower. But C&D's workforce worked through any situation the weather could throw at them, and testement to the companies mantra, finished the project on time and within budget.
Complete Groundworks Package
As part of the Grade 2 listed refurbishment of the iconic former Fenwick site in the heart of Leicester, C&D were contracted by Cube Construction to undertake a comprehansive groundworks package to the existing basement.
The existing basement had low ceiling heights and a problem with faulty drainage.
C&D broke out and lowered the floor level, whilst also removing the existing drainage and installing an entire new drainage system. A blinding layer of concrete was placed with a water proofed concrete final slab throughout the entire basement.
New Concrete Car Park for Warehouse
C&D were contracted by Inside Ltd to change an existing car park into a hardstanding yard for lorries. The existing car park was excavated and removed.
New drainage was installed with extensive CCTV surveys by our in-house team.
Concrete bays were then poured across the whole site. Other works undertaken by C&D were demoltion of existing water tank, pump house, internal dividing wall and ancilary drainage works.
